Mapping SaaS Applications to Sources

To make more informed decisions on your certifications, you can add your SailPoint SaaS Management usage data to Identity Security Cloud. To do so, you’ll first need to map your managed SaaS applications to Identity Security Cloud sources. After this mapping is complete, you can view this activity data to make more informed decisions when you review certifications.

Mapping a SaaS Application to a Source

You must integrate a SaaS application with SaaS Management before you can map a SaaS application to a source in Identity Security Cloud. Visit the SailPoint SaaS Management documentation to learn more.

  1. Go to Admin > Connections > SaaS Source Mappings.
  2. Enter the name of the SaaS application you want to map in the search bar or select it from the Applications list.

When you find the application, you can review details about the source of that application. Select View Source Details Go to Source icon to view or make changes to the source.

    Important

You must map staging and production environments of the SaaS application and Identity Security Cloud correctly, or your activity data may not appear in your tenant. For example, your activity data may not appear if you mapped a SaaS application's production environment to a staging environment of Identity Security Cloud.

SailPoint recommends you name your application instances in SaaS Management to denote staging and production environments to help users find the correct instances to map in Identity Security Cloud. SailPoint recommends you name your application instances in SaaS Management to denote staging and production environments to help users find the correct instances to map in Identity Security Cloud.

  3. Select a source from the dropdown list in the IdentityNow Source column to map to the SaaS application.

When you select a source, the mapping is saved immediately, and you’ll begin to see activity data for any new certifications that relate to that source.

    Note

If the Last Account Activity column reads No data available, the application and source may be incorrectly mapped. Review your mapping configurations.

You can select Cancel icon to remove a mapping.

After this connection has been configured, it is included in the SaaS Management section on the Connections page on the Identity Security Cloud source.
