Activity Insights – PagerDuty

To display activity data from PagerDuty, you can set up a single SaaS connector or configure both a virtual appliance (VA) and Activity Insights - PagerDuty connector.

Configuring Activity Insights Using the PagerDuty SaaS Connector

If you are using the PagerDuty SaaS connector, follow the connector guide to enable Activity Insights.

After a successful test connection, you must correlate accounts and run an aggregation for the PagerDuty SaaS source. Your activity data will begin syncing immediately but may take up to 24 hours to display. Data will then update daily.

Note

If you previously configured both the PagerDuty identity governance and Activity Insights - PagerDuty connectors, you do not have to take additional action to continue receiving your data.

Configuring Activity Insights Using a VA-Based Source

If you are setting up Activity Insights using a VA-based connector, you must first create an API token in PagerDuty. You'll then configure both the PagerDuty identity governance and Activity Insights - PagerDuty connectors so that Identity Security Cloud can gather your account information and display activity data.

Creating an API Token in PagerDuty

Follow the directions in the PagerDuty documentation to create an API key for your PagerDuty account.

Important

Store your API key in a secure location. If you lose your key, you’ll have to delete it and create another.

Configuring the PagerDuty Identity Governance Source

Follow the directions to configure your PagerDuty source in Identity Security Cloud. You can also edit an existing source.

Configuring the Activity Insights - PagerDuty Source

To display activity data from PagerDuty, you must configure the Activity Insights - PagerDuty source in Identity Security Cloud.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Admin > Connections > Sources.

  2. Select Create New to create a new source.

  3. Search for and select the Activity Insights - PagerDuty connector.

  11. Select Save to save your settings.

  12. Select Review and Test from the left panel.

  13. Select Test Connection to test the connection between PagerDuty and Identity Security Cloud. The test must be successful for your tenant to gather activity data. If the test is unsuccessful, retry your credentials or contact SailPoint Support.

To gather account data, you must correlate accounts and run an aggregation for the PagerDuty identity governance source. Your activity data will begin syncing immediately but may take up to 24 hours to display. Data will then be updated daily.
