SFTP (SSH) Onboarding

SFTP onboarding allows you to scan files on remote VMs or servers over SFTP (SSH protocol). This is a flexible option for environments without traditional file shares — especially Linux/Unix systems.

To onboard SFTP (SSH) scanning:

  1. Open Accounts & Integrations

Log in to SailPoint Entro and go to Management → Accounts & Integrations.

  2. Add new account

Select Add new account and choose File Shares Scanning.

  3. Enter credentials

Enter the following credential details in the onboarding form:

    Field Description
Nickname Name to display in SailPoint Entro for this integration
Host DNS or public IP of the remote server. Multiple hosts can be configured.
Username SFTP user with read access.
Password OR Private Key Either password or Private Key used for authentication.
Passphrase (optional) Optional when using Private Key.
  4. Select Target files to be scanned (optional)

    • Target Directories (Optional): List absolute paths separated by commas.

    • File Extensions (Optional): list of file extensions to be scanned(e.g., .json, .yaml).

    Note

By default, following directories will be scanned: /home, /etc, /tmp, /mnt with all available file types

  5. Select Worker Group

Choose your assigned entro connector with access to the required hosts.

  6. Create Account

Select Create Account to launch this integration
