Install MCP Audit locally in Visual Studio Code

Prerequisites

• Visual Studio Code installed locally

• GitHub Copilot installed and signed in

• Marketplace Onboarding (User Scope) completed

Adding the MCP Audit Plugin

Install the MCP Audit plugin from the SailPoint Entro marketplace in VS Code.

1. Open the plugin install flow.

   In VS Code, open the GitHub Copilot plugin install flow.

2. Select the SailPoint Entro marketplace.

   Choose the marketplace you configured during local marketplace setup.

3. Install the plugin.

   Install agentic-audit@entro-security.

4. Reload if prompted.

   If VS Code prompts you to reload the window, accept the reload.

What Happens Next?

After installation, MCP tool calls executed from VS Code are audited and sent to SailPoint Entro.

Use MCP Audit Troubleshooting And Validation to confirm the plugin is active.
