Configuring IdentityIQ Microsoft Teams

Note

Only follow these configuration instructions if you are setting up IdentityIQ application in Microsoft Teams for the first time. If you are upgrading an existing installation, refer to the Upgrading IdentityIQ Microsoft Teams[Link required] guide for the appropriate steps.

Integrating Microsoft Teams with IdentityIQ requires setting up and configuring components in Azure, as well as configuring IdentityIQ to support Teams-based notifications and Access Request Approvals work items.

Note

Some configuration steps rely on information provided by earlier steps. Therefore, we strongly recommend following the integration process in the order outlined in this guide to ensure a smooth and successful setup.

Configuring SAML-based single Sign-on (SSO) between Azure and IdentityIQ is a mandatory step in this process. Enabling SSO between IdentityIQ and Azure gives users a seamless experience using notifications in Microsoft Teams. It removes the need to log in separately to IdentityIQ or to browse to the correct IdentityIQ location to take necessary action on the notifications that includes a link.

Important

This guide ONLY provides instructions for configuring specific Azure component configurations required to support IdentityIQ’s Notifications and Access Request Approval work item features in Microsoft Teams. It is intended as an aid to implementers but should be used in conjunction with Microsoft’s official documentation to ensure access to the most accurate and up-to-date information. For broader information on Azure or general setup tasks related to Microsoft Teams and SSO, refer to Microsoft's official documentation [Link required].
