Create a Source

Active Directory Source

  1. Connect to your organization using the following link:

    https://(YOUR_ORGANIZATION_NAME).identitysoon.com/

    Note

    Replace (YOUR_ORGANIZATION_NAME) with your organization name.

    • Username: support
    • Password: Password that was changed, after creating the organization
  2. Navigate to Admin > Connections > Sources.

  3. Select Create New.
  4. In the search field, search for Active Directory.

  5. In the Active Directory section, select Configure.

  6. The Create Active Directory Source overlay will display. Fill in the following fields:

    1. Source Name - Name for the source.
    2. Description - Provide a description of the source.
    3. Source Owner - Select any existing user in IdentityNow.
    4. Connection Type - Select the Direct Connection option.
    5. Virtual Appliance Cluster - Select the created VA cluster.
    6. Governance Group - Do not select this option.

  7. Select Continue.

  8. In the newly opened wizard, verify that all of the previous data was entered correctly.
  9. Select Forest Settings.
  10. In the Forest Name field (first field), enter your Active Directory Forest Name.

    Leave all other fields empty.

  11. Select Save.

  12. Navigate to the next step, Domain Settings.
  13. Provide the following information:

    1. Forest Name - From the dropdown, select the forest name entered in the previous step.
    2. Domain DN - Enter the domain DN.
    3. Service Account - Enter any user who has permission to access Active Directory
    4. Password - Provide the password for the user.
    5. Leave all remaining fields as they are.

  14. Select Save.

  15. Navigate to the next step, Account and Group Settings.
  16. Within the User Search Scope section, enter the Domain DN value from the previous step into the Search DN field.

  17. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Save.

  18. Skip all of the remaining sections until the Review and Test section.
  19. Once on the Review and Test section, select Test Connection.

  20. If the test connection was successful, a success massage will display in green.

  21. Select Return to Source Page.
  22. If the test connection failed, an error message will display. Wait some time and the connection might fix automatically.

Azure Active Directory Source

  1. Navigate to Admin > Connections > Sources.
  2. Select Create New.
  3. In the search field, search for Azure Active Directory.

  4. In the Azure Active Directory section, select Configure.

  5. The Create Azure Active Directory Source overlay will display. Fill in the following fields:

    1. Source Name - Name for the source.
    2. Description - Provide a description about this particular source.
    3. Source Owner - Select any existing user in IdentityNow.
    4. Connection Type - Select the Direct Connection option.
    5. Virtual Appliance Cluster - Select the created VA Cluster.
    6. Governance Group - Do not select this option.

  6. Select Continue.

  7. In the newly opened wizard, verify that all of the previous data was entered correctly.
  8. Select Connection Settings.
  9. Provide the following details:

    1. Client ID
    2. Client Secret
    3. Domain Name

    Note

    The above information should be easily available in order to connect with Azure Active Directory.

  10. Navigate to Aggregation Settings and check the Aggregate All Groups checkbox.

  11. Select Save at the bottom of the page.
  12. Navigate to Review And Test step and select on Test Connection.

    If the test connection finishes successfully, then the source is ready.
