Managing your passwords

IdentityNow gives you control over your applications and passwords. You can manage your passwords for multiple apps with no assistance needed.

Updating your account password

Whether your password is about to expire or your account has been compromised, you can secure your IdentityNow account by changing your password.

To update your account password

  1. Select your name in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Update Password.

    Note

If you do not see the Update Password option in your main menu, reach out to your administrator for help.

  3. Complete any authentication.

  4. Enter and confirm your new password.
  5. Select Change password.

Using the Password Manager

Password Manager allows you to manage and review all your passwords in one place. On this page, you can view your apps and see which share the same password. This way, when you change a password, you can see what other apps it may affect.

Note

If you do not see the Password Manager option in your menu, your organization may not support this feature.

To update your passwords in the Password Manager

  1. Select your name in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Password Manager.
  3. Find the app you want to change passwords for.

Your app will appear in one of the following groups:

    • Password Group — A group of apps that share a password. Your administrator can add sources to a password sync group, so all sources in that group share the same password. Changing the group's password will change the shared password for all of the apps included in this group.
    • Multi-Application Source — A source with numerous applications that share a password. For example, you may have a source called Amazon that contains the Amazon and Amazon Web Services apps. Changing this password will change the shared password for these apps.
    • Applications — An application that does not share a password with other apps. Changing this password won't affect other apps.
  4. Select Change Password for the app or group of apps.

  5. Complete any authentication.
  6. Enter and confirm your new password.
  7. Select Change password.
