Removing or Changing Access

The remove or change access feature is only available for an individual user. If your system is set up to allow you to add or remove access for yourself, a card with your identity details is the first card displayed on the Select User tab.

  1. On the Select User tab, select the select user icon on the card for an identity.

  2. On the Manage Access tab, select the Remove Access or Remove or Change Access tab.

Current access for the identity is listed.

  3. To search for a role or entitlement from the current access, enter a search string in the search box and select the Search icon Search. Full text search is not available for Remove Access.

  4. Alternatively, use the Filters select user button to apply available filters, including options for Status, Role Source Application, Role Source Attribute, Entitlement Application, Entitlement Attribute, and more. After choosing your filter criteria, select Apply to see search results.

The Filters button turns green when filtering is applied to alert you that you are seeing a filtered subset of access. To clear filtering, select the button again and select Clear.

  5. From the search results, select the Change or Remove icon on roles or entitlements to remove access to them.

The number of selected items is displayed on the Remove Access or Remove or Change Access tab.

  6. Once you have selected the access items you want to remove, select Next to move on to the Finalize and Submit or Set Dates, Finalize and Submit tab.

  7. Review access request information and verify your choices. Based on how your system is configured, before submitting the request, you can:

    • Remove a role or entitlement from the list of access items to be removed by selecting the Remove icon delete next to the access items.
    • Add or change the end date and time. Access to the role or entitlement is deprovisioned at this new end date and time. See Specifying Access Start and End Dates with Time.
    • Add attachments by selecting the Attachments icon attach files. See Adding Attachments to Access Requests.
    • Add comments to access items by selecting the Comment icon comment. See Viewing and Posting Comments
    • View details about the role or entitlement by selecting the Details button.
  8. Select Submit.

A banner message confirms that your request was successfully submitted and displays the request ID.
