Prerequisites

Important
For Service Desk Integration Module to function properly, ensure that the feature flag GOV_DISABLE_PLAN_INITIALIZER is set to true on your Identity Security Cloud (ISC) org. For more information, reach out to Professional Services/Expert Services.

  • Configure at least one virtual appliance cluster and successfully test the connection. For instructions, refer to the Virtual Appliance Reference Guide.

  • Configure at least one source to generate manual tasks for Provisioning.

  • Be familiar with Apache Velocity scripting.

  • Determine the authentication option (AR-JWT or OAuth2 Authentication) you want to use to authenticate to the BMC Helix ITSM system. The BMC Helix ITSM Service Desk uses Remedy Single Sign-On (Remedy SSO) for OAuth2 authentication. For more information about installation and setup refer to Installing Remedy SSO.
