Changing IdentityIQ Password for Others

To use this feature, you must have authority to reset passwords for other users. You can reset the IdentityIQ password for others using either of the two approached detailed below.

  1. From the Manage Access Quicklink, select Manage Passwords.

  2. Find the relevant user card and select Manage.

  3. From the left navigation, select Change Password.

  4. Enter the new password twice – once in the New Password field and once in Confirm New Password.

  5. If this is a temporary password that the user should be prompted to reset, select Require the user to change their password on next log in.

  6. Select Submit.

  1. From the navigation menu bar, select Identities > Identity Warehouse.

  2. Select an identity name.

  3. At the bottom of the Attributes tab, select Change Password to display the password reset fields.

  4. Enter the new password twice, once in Password and once in Confirm Password.

    • The password must meet the requirements of the IdentityIQ password policy. See Passwords.

    • When you change a password for someone else, you do not have to enter their current password, even if that requirement is set up for self-service password changes.

  5. If this is a temporary password that the user should be prompted to reset, select Require the user to change their password the next time that they log in.

  6. Select Save.
