Activating Language Internationalization on the ServiceNow Platform

  • Users with the ServiceNow admin role can activate language internationalization on the ServiceNow platform. Refer to Activate a language for more information.

Pre-translated messages for English and French

  • If the English language plugin is active on the ServiceNow platform, the SailPoint Manage Access portal shows UI labels in the English language.

  • If the French language plugin is active on the ServiceNow platform, the SailPoint Manage Access portal shows UI labels in the French language.

Extending Language Internationalization

Perform the following steps to extend language internationalization support for other languages. For example, Japanese.

  1. Open the sys_ui_message table records (keys) by applying the application filter SailPoint Identity Security Cloud for Service Catalog.

  2. Search for the User Details key and open one of the keys.

  3. Select the Insert and Stay option to create an additional (new) key with the name User Details.

  4. In the new User Details key, select Japanese as the Language, update the Message to a Japanese message, and Save the new key.

  5. If the Japanese language plugin is active on the ServiceNow platform, the SailPoint Manage Access portal will show UI labels in the Japanese language.
