Dataset Management
Note
Your organization must have SailPoint Agentic Fabric to use this feature. Contact your Customer Success team for more information. For more information, refer to SailPoint Agentic Fabric.
The Microsoft Entra SaaS connector uses datasets to aggregate and govern AI agents and other non-human identities from the managed system into Identity Security Cloud. Each dataset groups one or more resources during dataset aggregation. A resource defines the object types a source collects and controls how the source aggregates those objects.
Use dataset management to:
-
View and manage resource attributes, datasets, and their resources
-
Enable the dataset aggregation schedule
-
Perform manual aggregation
-
View aggregation history
For more information, refer to Dataset Management.
Important
The connector determines how resources are grouped into datasets. You can enable or disable aggregation and view the resources inside each dataset, but you can't create, delete, or rearrange datasets, or move resources between datasets.
To manage and govern machine identities from your Microsoft Entra SaaS source, follow this sequence:
-
Configure Owner Correlation
Define the mapping rules on each resource schema first. This ensures that when machine identities are aggregated, they are immediately linked to the correct human owners.
Note
If owner correlation is not configured, or if the mapping produces no match, the machine identity remains unassigned. For more information, refer to Owner Correlation.
-
Configure and Run Dataset Aggregation
Enable and trigger aggregation for each dataset to discover and collect machine identities from the source. During aggregation, Identity Security Cloud automatically applies your owner correlation rules to link machine identities to their human owners.
Note
You need to configure aggregation for each dataset separately. For more information, refer to Dataset Aggregation.
