Configuring the Component Interface Security

With the PeopleSoft Source, you must allow the PeopleSoft user, for whom the source is configured, to access the generated component interfaces.

To set security for the PeopleTools project, complete the following:

  1. Log into the PeopleSoft web interface.

    Default: http://<server-name>:<port-number>/psp/ps

  2. Go to PeopleTools > Security > Permissions & Roles > Permission Lists.

  3. Select Add a New Value to create a new permission list. Enter New_Name as the name of the permission list, and then select Add.

  4. Select the Component Interfaces tab and add the created component interface.

For more information, see PeopleSoft Component Interface Utility.

    For example,

    • SAILPOINT_DEL_ROLE

    • SAILPOINT_DEL_USER

    • SAILPOINT_ROLES

    • SAILPOINT_USERS

    • SAILPOINT_ROUTECONTROL

  5. For each added component interface, select Edit > Full Access (All), and then select OK.

  6. Select Save.

  7. Go to PeopleTools > Security > Permissions & Roles > Roles.

  8. Select Add a New Value to create a new role. Enter New_Name as the name of the role, and then select Add. For example, SAILPOINT_ROLE.

  9. Enter the description as Role.
