Connection Settings

This section contains the information that the source uses to authenticate with the OpenLDAP managed system.

  1. Select Connection Settings.

  2. In the Service Account field, enter a DN that points to a user in the LDAP tree who can manage the OpenLDAP server.

    For example, cn=Admin,dc=example,dc=com

  3. In the Password field, enter the password for the Service Account.

  4. In the Hostname or IP Address field, enter the host name or the IP address of the server that LDAP is installed on.

  5. In the Port field, enter the port number that the server communicates through.

  6. Select the Authorization Type as Simple or None, based on the following requirement:

    • Simple: To use a clear text password for the Service Account in the Connection Credentials panel.

      Note
      SailPoint recommends using TLS when using Simple authentication.

    • None: If you do not want to use authorization while connecting to the server.

  7. Enable the Use TLS option if the connection is over TLS.

  8. Select Save.
