Secure Communication Between VA and IQService

TLS Communication and Client Authentication between IQService and VA must be configured to completely secure this solution.

  • TLS Communication between IQService and VA is supported and must be configured to secure this solution.

  • For Client Authentication, IQService supports authenticating a client connecting to it. This authenticates every incoming request from Identity Security Cloud before executing those requests. To ensure the authentication works correctly, IQService expects the client (Identity Security Cloud here) to send, with every request, the credentials of a user that is already registered with IQService. Before processing every request the IQService first confirms that the passed user is registered with it and then authenticates the credentials with Windows system it is running on.

    Note
Client Authentication is mandatory for operations that use the IQService when the TLS communication is enabled for IQService.

For more details on requirements and procedure to setup TLS Communication and Client Authentication, refer to Configuring TLS and Client Authentication for IQService.
