Integrating SailPoint with SAP Direct

This document is designed to give specific information about the requirements and field definitions needed to get a working instance of a SAP Direct connector in SailPoint.

SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software solution is an integrated software solution that incorporates the key business functions of the organization.

IdentityIQ for SAP ERP aggregates and provisions all the users along with their roles/profiles of the SAP system.

IdentityIQ for SAP ERP supports provisioning to a standalone SAP system as well as SAP Central User Administration (CUA) system.

The RFC_READ_TABLE integration function module is deprecated as of January 2023. All enhancements and fixes after this date are only supported on the SailPoint ABAP Function Module.   • The SAP Direct connector has been enhanced to provide more efficient management of SAP Licenses by utilizing the License ID instead of relying solely on the description field. This enhancement is particularly advantageous for SAP systems that offer multiple client language support.

  • The SAP Direct Connector has been improved to handle indirect roles by leveraging SAP HR Organization data. This upgraded connector is capable of consolidating Organization Data associated with SAP employees, such as their position, job, or organization unit.

  • SAP Direct connector customers now have the ability to differentiate between TCodes added through menu, TCodes added directly, and other menu items. This enhancement is made possible by the introduction of three new attributes in the role schema, and provides users with greater flexibility and control over their SAP Direct connector experience.

  • The SAP Direct connector is now tested and certified with the SAP ERP Enhancement Package 8 (EHP) for continuous support and seamless integration.

  • The SAP Direct connector now supports SAP S/4HANA 2022 On-Prem SP/FP Stack 04.

  • The SAP Direct connector now supports SAP S/4HANA 2023 On-Prem SP/FP Stack 02.
