Update Group

The following are the provisioning policy attributes for Update Group.

Name of the group

Description of the group

Managers of a group

Owners of a group

(Required when creating a group)

The group's email address

If your account has multiple domains, select the appropriate domain for the email address. The email must be unique.

Permissions to join the group

Available values:

  • ALL_IN_DOMAIN_CAN_JOIN

  • ANYONE_CAN_JOIN

  • CAN_REQUEST_TO_JOIN

  • INVITED_CAN_JOIN

Permissions to view membership

Available values:

  • ALL_IN_DOMAIN_CAN_VIEW

  • ALL_MANAGERS_CAN_VIEW

  • ALL_MEMBERS_CAN_VIEW

Permissions to view group

Available values:

  • ALL_IN_DOMAIN_CAN_VIEW

  • ANYONE_CAN_VIEW

  • ALL_MANAGERS_CAN_VIEW

  • ALL_MEMBERS_CAN_VIEW

Permissions to invite members

Available values:

  • ALL_MANAGERS_CAN_INVITE

  • ALL_MEMBERS_CAN_INVITE

Indicates if external Google Workspace users can view or become members of a group

Permissions to post messages to the group

Available values:

  • ALL_IN_DOMAIN_CAN_POST

  • ALL_MANAGERS_CAN_POST

  • ALL_MEMBERS_CAN_POST

  • ANYONE_CAN_POST

  • NONE_CAN_POST

Indicates if members are allowed to post to the group web forum

Language tag of the primary language for the group

Maximum size of a message

The default is 1Mb

Indicates if the contents of the group are archived

Indicates if the group is only archived

Moderation level for messages

Available values:

  • MODERATE_ALL_MESSAGES

  • MODERATE_NEW_MEMBERS

  • MODERATE_NONE

  • MODERATE_NON_MEMBERS

Sets moderation levels for messages detected as spam

Available values:

  • ALLOW

  • MODERATE

  • SILENTLY_MODERATE

  • REJECT

Sets the default reply to a message

Available values:

  • REPLY_TO_CUSTOM

  • REPLY_TO_IGNORE

  • REPLY_TO_LIST

  • REPLY_TO_MANAGERS

  • REPLY_TO_OWNER

  • REPLY_TO_SENDER

Defines the custom email address if ReplyTo is set to REPLY_TO_CUSTOM

Indicates if the member is notified if his message is denied by owner

Text for the rejection notification sent to the message's author

Indicates if the group should be listed in the Groups directory

Indicates whether Google can contact group administrators

Indicates if group members can post messages using the group's email address instead of their own email address

Default message's display font

Available values:
