IQService as a Prerequisite
IQService is a native Windows service that enables Identity Security Cloud to participate in a Windows environment and access information only available through Windows APIs. It is a lightweight service that must be installed on any supported Windows Server that has connectivity to the target systems you want to manage in Identity Security Cloud. For more information, see
Important
IQService installation now enforces TLS configuration by default to improve security and safeguard your environment. To proceed with the installation, ensure you have completed the necessary prerequisites for TLS configuration. For more information, refer to Configuring TLS and Client Authentication for IQService.
Warning
To enhance security, it is mandatory to configure the TLS for IQService. If you continue using non-TLS configuration, any before and after script execution will be disabled to safeguard your environment.
You must install IQService to support the following Identity Security Cloud features:

Exchange Mailboxes

Loading and Provisioning Skype for Business Accounts

Certification of Active Directory Entitlements (if you want to automatically revoke disapproved items)
Note
If you want to create manual tasks for revoked items, you'll need to use Expert Services to edit your Active Directory source settings. For more information, refer to Certifications Overview. -
